The Business Lyfe LLC (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect through www.TheBusinessLyfe.com and our related brands, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Because we conduct insurance and financial services activity, we are a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and this Policy also serves as our privacy notice regarding nonpublic personal information.
This Policy covers The Business Lyfe LLC and its brands: Business Lyfe Risk Advisors, The Trust Lyfe, The Credit Lyfe, The Capital Lyfe, and The Business Lyfe Podcast.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly, through a form, consultation booking, phone call, text message, email, or application:
- Identifiers: name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and date of birth.
- Household and family information provided in connection with estate planning discussions, such as marital status, dependents, and intended beneficiaries.
- Property and business information: property addresses and characteristics, entity name and type, industry, revenue, payroll, and vehicle information.
- Insurance and financial information: current coverage, carriers, premiums, renewal dates, claims history, assets, and financial objectives.
- Information relevant to a credit repair referral, which you may choose to provide.
- Producer and agent applicant information, including licensing status and background information where required.
- Information you provide about other people, such as spouses, beneficiaries, additional insureds, drivers, or employees.
Information collected automatically when you visit:
- IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and date and time of visit.
- Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising tags from providers such as Google and Meta.
- Consent metadata captured at submission: timestamp, IP address, page URL, and the exact disclosure text you agreed to. We retain this to document your consent.
Information from third parties, obtained only where needed to serve a request: motor vehicle records, loss history reports, property and public records, business verification data, and credit-based insurance scores where permitted. These are consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. If adverse action is taken based in whole or part on a consumer report, you will receive notice of that action and of your right to a free copy of the report and to dispute its accuracy.
We may record or monitor telephone calls for quality, training, and compliance purposes where permitted by law, with notice at the start of the call.
SENSITIVE INFORMATION. We collect a Social Security number, government identification number, or financial account number only when it is required to complete an application, place coverage, or execute a document, and never through an unsecured web form. Do not send this information by email or text message.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to your request, prepare quotes and proposals, submit applications, and deliver and service the products you obtain through us.
- To contact you by phone, text, and email, including by automated means, where you have given consent. To offer you other products and services within The Business Lyfe family of brands.
- To evaluate producer and agent applicants and administer compensation.
- To verify identity, prevent fraud, and meet insurance, anti-money-laundering, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations.
- To measure and improve our website, content, and advertising.
3. Who We Share Information With
- Insurance carriers, managing general agents, wholesalers, and quoting platforms, to obtain quotes and place coverage.
- Trust and estate document providers, including licensed attorneys or licensed document preparers, when you request trust services.
- The independent credit repair organization to which you ask to be referred.
- Lenders, funding sources, and program sponsors when you request those services.
- Our licensed producers and staff assigned to your request.
- Service providers under contract acting on our behalf: our customer relationship management platform, messaging and email providers, hosting providers, scheduling and e-signature tools, payment processors, and analytics and advertising platforms.
- Consumer reporting agencies and data vendors used for underwriting.
- Professional advisors, and regulators or law enforcement where required by law, subpoena, or to protect legal rights.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, AND WE DO NOT SELL, RENT, OR TRADE IT TO LEAD BUYERS, LEAD AGGREGATORS, OR UNAFFILIATED MARKETERS.
SHARING BETWEEN OUR BRANDS. Information you provide to one Business Lyfe brand may be used by The Business Lyfe LLC to offer you services from our other brands. You may opt out of this cross-brand marketing at any time by contacting info@thebusinesslyfe.com.
MOBILE INFORMATION. Mobile telephone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliated companies for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used only for communications from The Business Lyfe LLC and its brands, and is shared only with the messaging service providers that transmit those messages on our behalf.
4. Cookies and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your entries, measure traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. Depending on your state, certain advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under state privacy law, and you may opt out as described below. You may set your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the site may not function. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
5. Security and Retention
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, role-based access limited to personnel with a business need, and contractual confidentiality obligations on our vendors. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet insurance and financial recordkeeping requirements and applicable statutes of limitation. Consent records are retained for at least five (5) years after the last communication in order to document compliance.
6. Your Privacy Rights
All visitors. Contact info@thebusinesslyfe.com or 725-205-5410 to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to opt out of marketing. We verify identity before acting on a request.
Nevada residents. Nevada law gives you the right to submit a verified request directing us not to make any sale of covered information collected about you. As stated above, we do not sell your information. Submit requests to info@thebusinesslyfe.com with the subject line “Nevada Opt-Out.”
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients; to request correction or deletion; to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit requests to info@thebusinesslyfe.com or 725-205-5410. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authorization. Personal information collected in connection with an insurance transaction may be governed by other financial privacy laws.
Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act you may confirm whether we process your personal data, access, correct, and delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. Submit requests to info@thebusinesslyfe.com. You may appeal a denial by replying to our response and may contact the Texas Attorney General if the appeal is denied.
Residents of other states. Where your state grants comparable rights, we honor them on the same terms. Contact info@thebusinesslyfe.com.
7. Communication Preferences and Revoking Consent
You may revoke consent to calls and texts at any time by replying STOP to any text, telling a representative on a call, or emailing info@thebusinesslyfe.com with the word REVOKE. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop email. We honor revocations promptly and no later than ten (10) business days after receipt. We may still contact you about an active policy, engagement, claim, or transaction you requested.
8. Children
This website is not directed to children under thirteen (13) and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact info@thebusinesslyfe.com and we will delete it.
9. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy; changes take effect when posted with a new “Last Updated” date, and material changes affecting information already collected will be communicated where required by law.
